This page explains the terms you agree to when you use this website or book an appointment with us, and how your information is handled. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Terms of Use

1. About this website

This website is operated by At Peace Massage & Wellness, 3124 N. Adrian Hwy, Suite 200, Adrian, MI 49221. It exists to describe our services, pricing and hours, and to point you to our booking system. By using it, you agree to what is on this page.

2. This is not medical advice

Massage therapy supports wellbeing, but nothing on this website is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a physician or other licensed healthcare provider. As we say elsewhere on the site, we are a piece of the puzzle, not the whole solution.

If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury or surgery, or are unsure whether massage is appropriate for you, speak with your doctor first. Please tell your therapist about any health conditions, injuries, allergies and medications before your session. Some conditions mean we need to adapt the work or decline it for your safety.

3. Booking your appointment

Appointments are booked through MassageBook, a third-party scheduling platform. When you click Book Now you leave this website and continue on MassageBook, where you create your booking and complete your intake form.

Booking through MassageBook means you also agree to their terms, which we do not control:

• MassageBook User Terms (Client Accounts)
• 2Book Website Privacy Policy, 2Book Inc. being the company that operates MassageBook
• MassageBook's HIPAA Policy
• All MassageBook terms and policies

4. Cancellations, reschedules and late arrivals

Please give us as much notice as possible. Full payment is required in these cases:

• Less than 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment
• A no show or missed appointment
• Late arrival. Arriving late may mean we shorten the treatment so the day stays on schedule

You can always send someone in your place if you cannot make your appointment, which avoids the cancellation fee.

5. Pricing and memberships

Prices shown on this website are current at the time of publication and may change. The price confirmed at the time of booking is the price that applies.

VIP Memberships are billed automatically on the 1st of each month. A membership allows up to three rollover sessions within six months, and can only be started once per year. Membership spots are limited to protect quality and appointment availability. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees on the membership itself. The 24-hour notice above still applies to individual appointments.

We accept HSA and FSA cards. We do not bill health insurance directly.

6. Gift certificates

Gift certificates purchased through MassageBook are governed by MassageBook's gift certificate terms, available on their terms and policies page.

7. Our content

The text, photographs, logo and design on this website belong to At Peace Massage & Wellness or are used with permission. Please do not copy or reuse them without asking.

8. Links to other websites

This site links to MassageBook, Instagram, Google Maps and Lenawee Locals. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.

9. Changes

We may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Privacy Policy

1. The short version

This website does not ask you for any personal information. There are no forms, no accounts and no newsletter signup. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell anyone's information, ever.

The information that matters, your contact details and health history, is collected when you book and when you fill in your intake form, not by this website.

2. What this website does involve

Three things happen in your browser that are worth naming:

• Google Maps. The map on our contact section is embedded from Google. Loading it sends your IP address to Google and Google may set cookies. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts. Our typefaces are served by Google, which means your IP address reaches Google when the page loads.
• Web hosting. Our host, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs such as IP addresses, timestamps and browser type, used for security and to keep the site running. See the Hostinger Privacy Policy.

3. Booking and health information

When you book, MassageBook collects your name, contact details, appointment history, payment information and the health history you provide on your intake form. That information is held by MassageBook under their privacy policy and HIPAA policy.

We see and use that information to provide your treatment: to understand your history, plan your session, keep treatment notes and contact you about your appointments. We keep client records as required of licensed massage therapists in Michigan.

4. Who we share it with

Your information is shared with MassageBook as our booking and records system, and with payment processors to take payment. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

5. Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Call or text us at (517) 759-5550. You can also manage your own MassageBook account directly, and your browser settings control cookies.

6. Children

This website is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them through this site. Minors may receive massage with the consent and presence of a parent or guardian as appropriate.
